What Is Bioresonance (Bioenergetic) Testing?
Bioresonance testing, also called bioenergetic or electrodermal screening, records how your body’s electrical response changes as a computer introduces digital signatures of foods, nutrients, organ systems and other stressors. At Atlant Chiropractic in Midtown Manhattan, I use the Asyra system. You hold hand-held electrodes, and the software flags patterns worth following up.
It is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. Research has not shown that electrodermal screening reliably diagnoses conditions, so I use it as one input alongside your history, exam and, when needed, lab work. It never replaces medical evaluation.
How Bioenergetic Screening Fits With Functional Medicine
Some patients continue to experience symptoms even when routine lab results are within reference ranges or an initial medical evaluation has not provided a clear explanation. This uncertainty can be frustrating and may lead them to explore complementary approaches to wellness.
Bioenergetic screening provides a framework for exploring patterns that the system describes as energetic responses. I use these patterns as a starting point for discussion, considered alongside your health history, examination and appropriate lab work.
The goal is to bring structure to that conversation: review your concerns, consider your nutrition, lifestyle and daily stressors, and develop personalized wellness priorities while identifying any questions that require further medical evaluation.
Functional medicine looks for root causes through history, nutrition, lifestyle and lab testing. Bioenergetic screening is a separate, complementary tool. I use it to help decide where to start when symptoms are complex or your labs look normal. Where labs are needed, I order them or refer you.
