HTMA - Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

Hair is an ideal tissue for sampling and testing. HTMA reveals a unique metabolic world – intracellular activity, which cannot be seen through most other tests. This provides a blueprint of the biochemistry occurring during the period of hair growth and development.

  • Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis – $200

Turnaround for the results is approximately two weeks. The results come with a comprehensive report of findings that explains results of the test. The report also has dietary and supplements recommendations based on your specific profile.

If you wish Dr. Kanevsky to have an additional consultation regarding results from the HTMA test and create personalized nutritional recommendations based on the report of findings, this can be discussed during HTMA test order placement. The company that creates custom powders is Vykon Customs. Additionally, based of the reports and history, other products can be recommended as well.

What HTMA allows to evaluate:

  • Your nervous system, thyroid function (just because TSH levels look fine doesn’t mean thyroid is optimal), Adrenal Health, Absorption and stomach acid, Toxic Metals, Hormone Balance, Metabolic Health, Bone Health, Resilience to Stress.

Hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA), is an analytical test which measures the mineral content of the hair. The sampled hair, obtained by cutting the first inch and one half of growth closest to the scalp at the nape of the neck, is prepared in a licensed clinical laboratory through a series of chemical and high temperature digestive procedures. Testing is then performed using highly sophisticated detection equipment and methods to achieve the most accurate and precise results.
